Boyer Family Book of Mormon Study Class: Book 2 Alma - Moroni

Dear friends, I hope you are enjoying your study of the Book of Mormon this year in Come, Follow Me. It is wonderful! As you know, there are many resources available to assist us in our study. What a blessing! Four years ago, I wrote a weekly blog about the Book of Mormon. You are receiving this email because you were a recipient of those blog posts. For this year, I have collated and edited those blog posts into two eBook volumes of The Boyer Family Book of Mormon Study Class. I sent you the link to download the eBook of Book 1: Nephi - Mosiah at the first of this year. I am now attaching the file for Book 2: Alma - Moroni. If you choose to use this resource in your study, I hope you will find it interesting and enlightening. If you would like to receive either an .ePub or .pdf file of Book 2, please reply to this blog post or email me at rsboyer46@gmail.com and I will send you the file(s). I hope you will find this resource useful to you in your study of the Book of Mormon. As you will discover, the book is written in a conversational tone as if you were sitting at the kitchen table on a school day morning with our kids reading and discussing the Book of Mormon. There are certainly more sophisticated study sources available but, hopefully, you'll find this one useful and uplifting. When you get to Alma 30, the story of Alma's interaction with the anti-Christ Korihor, you'll find a link to a voice file of our good friend, Mel Hardman, reading this chapter in his rich deep voice. I hope you enjoy it. Brother Hardman recorded voice files of the entire Book of Mormon for his family and is making them available on a weekly basis. If you'd like to receive those files, you can contact him at mel@melhardman.com. Put on the subject line, "Please add me to your BofM list". He has also prepared a 33-minute video of "How the Book of Mormon Came Into the World", which is very good. You can ask him to send you the link to that file. May the Lord bless us all as we continue our study of The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ and endeavor to apply its timeless and true principles in our lives. Faithfully, your brother, Richard S. Boyer Holladay, UT

Boyer Book of Mormon eBook

Dear friends, As you may recall, I published a blog in 2020 called The Boyer Family Book of Mormon Study Class based on our experience as a family studying the Book of Mormon together. There were about 70 blog posts, each of about 10,000 words, during that year. Several friends and family members have encouraged me to collect those blog posts into a more enduring and accessible format than the blog site. Therefore, I have collated and edited them into an eBook, which is a convenient way to electronically review this material. It will actually take two eBooks to cover the whole Book of Mormon. Attached is a link to download Book 1 of the eBook. This covers the Book of Mormon from Introductory pages through Mosiah, generally following the Come, Follow Me curriculum for Jan – May 2024. Here is the link to download the eBook file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LylYc9dpO2QDu-GdB_La1Pr4jyzX8p4N/view?usp=drive_link I also plan to publish Book 2 of the eBook covering Alma through Moroni and have it available by June 2024. I’ll notify you again when that is available. I hope you’ll consider downloading the eBook file and using this in your personal and/or family study of the Book of Mormon this coming year of 2024. The eBook format has the advantage of being able to change font size and style and contains hyperlinks to scriptures, quotes and websites that are referenced in the text. It can be read on devices (such as phones and tablets) and on computers (such as laptop or desktop computers). A tablet (such as an iPad or Android-based tablet) works especially well with the eBook because of its larger screen format. If you have trouble downloading the eBook file or questions about how to navigate the eBook once you download it, please don’t hesitate to email (rsboyer46@gmail.com), text or call me (801-891-9931). I’m happy to help you! I didn’t attach the actual file to this email because some spam filters block an email with an attachment. If you’d rather that I email you the file directly, I’m happy to do that. Just let me know. Also, please feel free to share this email and link with family and/or friends you think may be benefitted by access to this eBook about the Book of Mormon. There is no charge for the eBook and no limit on the number of files that can be downloaded. There are many excellent resources available in print and online for studying the Book of Mormon this year. We are truly blessed in that regard! This eBook is not meant to be a comprehensive commentary on the Book of Mormon. Rather, it is written in a conversational voice as if you were with our family sitting at our kitchen table reading the Book of Mormon together and talking about it. I hope this voice and format will be useful to you. Regardless of whether or not you choose to access this eBook and use it, I invite you to make a diligent and prayerful study of the Book of Mormon in 2024. I promise that, as you do so, you will be greatly blessed. This eBook is not meant to take the place of your personal, intentional study of the Book of Mormon, but rather to supplement it. The Book of Mormon has blessed my life. I know that it is the word of God, written by ancient prophets and translated by a modern prophet. I pray that the Lord will bless each of us as we invite Him into our lives and homes this coming year by studying this timeless and timely book of sacred scripture. I pray that we will each find Him, our Savior, Jesus Christ, in its pages. Surely, we will be blessed as we do! Faithfully, your brother, Richard S. Boyer Holladay, Utah 12/31/2023

Bogus emails from this blog site

Dear friends,

For some reason, Google, the host of this blog site which I used in 2020 to write about the Book of Mormon, has started sending emails to followers of this blog site from the email address of

noreply+feedproxy@google.com

I don't know why this is happening. I'm not sending these emails. I haven't written any new posts since 2020. I apologize if you have received any of these emails and may have wondered about them or even worried if they might be malicious. To my knowledge, they are harmless but unsolicited. If any of you know how I can stop these emails from being sent, please let me know.

If you get any of these emails, feel free to delete them or unsubscribe. I'm sorry for the hassle.

I still hope to collate and edit the Book of Mormon blog posts from 2020 into an e-book and/or some other format for those who would like to have them under one cover. I haven't worked on that project for over a year. Now that COVID is winding down (though definitely not gone), life has started up again and I find myself plenty busy with a part-time Church service missionary calling, serving two days a week in the Jordan River Temple and trying to study for Come Follow Me. (I'm loving studying the Old Testament and hope you are too. I'm so grateful for all of the resources available to help in our studies.)

I hope you are well. Thanks for your loyal support back in 2020 for this blog. Sorry about the latest hassle.

Feel free to respond, email or text me if you have any suggestions or comments.

Thanks so much!
